Sweet sixteen-birthday party is a big deal for many girls. In fact it is so commercialized that even television shows dedicate programs that enact the lives of the girls as they plan and host their sweet sixteen birthdays. Most of the time you need millionaires parents to foot the $70,000 bill. That type of figure for a party is out of reach of many, but it does not mean that sixteen year old girls will not be able to have a party of their dreams. With some planning and cost effective ideas, great sweet sixteen parties could be arranged without breaking the bank and the birthday girl will still be able to have a wonderful birthday party.

Sixteen years old mark a certain milestone in ones life. The government, while not admitting they are fully matured adult allows for certain concessions. The most obvious is that individuals are finally able to apply for a driving license. While many kids dream of a new car on their 16th birthday, not everyone will be able to afford it. Instead let the child take driving lessons and her road test. Give her enough time so that if she cannot pass it the first time, she can still apply again before the party. At the party, she can celebrate this occasion.

Not all parents are comfortable about allowing the sixteen year old to drive around picking all the guests to the party, but maybe it might be a good idea to allow the birthday girl to drive over to a friends place nearby to pick up one friend who is coming to the party. At the party let the guests practice taking photos for each other, using cameras or camcorders. They can also take photos to be used in their own driving license too. That would make the other guests excited about their own new responsibilities. You can also ask one of the friends to be in charged of taking photos or videos at the party, so that the party will be documented. In the end everyone will be given unique party favours in the form of celebratory DVD. Such a party will allow the event to be immortalized in a unique way. Not only the host and family will be able to relive the event, all the friends will be able to share in the moment again too.

Another idea for the sweet sixteen party involve planning and playing games that revolve around the number 16. For example play 16 questions instead of 20 questions. There are many ways in which the number 16 can be implemented into the games and activities that take place in a birthday. A fifth option is to decorate with the number 16. This can include tying together 16 balloons or arranging for 16 sets of balloons. 16 flowers decorating the tables at the centerpiece and have the cake in the shape of the number 16 would all add to the festivities. Lastly host and planners can arrange for a total of 16 games to be played with 16 winners. Having so much actitivity would ensure everybody taking part and truly enjoying herself. Your sweet sixteen will have a party that will be long remembered.
