Traffic exchanges are the greatest thing to newbies coming into internet marketing. For this reason, they have a very bad connotation. The newbie internet marketers come in and they try it out thinking they will get massive traffic to there websites. Then they notice that they are spending hours surfing, getting pop-ups, and more, all for nothing.

First of all, a simple trick to getting traffic to a website using traffic exchanges is to use fire fox instead of internet explorer because it has he panels and a popup blocker. Just open 6 or 7 traffic exchanges in each of the panels and surf them all at the same time. This is in no way violating any of there rules.

The purpose of traffic exchanges is to share the visits to the websites. You look at my site so I will look at your site. You get 30 seconds to try and wow them into buying or joining whatever you want them to. Many people make another mistake right there. They use regular content rich websites in traffic exchanges. What is the point of that? I am there for 30 seconds, I am not going to click on your adsense.

The next point I want to make has to do with the sites as well. I have no time to read a long sales page. I will see it for 1 seconds and move on even of the header grabs me. Traffic exchange traffic is really hard to convert. They take quite a bit of persuading but you can do it.

As for the page that you place in the traffic exchange, you will have to be every careful. You must make it smaller then a regular web browser. Since the traffic exchange adds a border around your page, you will have to make it take up only 75% of a web browser. If you are designer then you will understand that you should make the page only 400 pixels or smaller.

The rest is up to the visitors to decide whether they want what you are selling or not.
