The sound quality is also excellent, when listening to music with the supplied earphones there were no complaints. If you are to use this phone as a standalone MP3 player you will need to purchase an SD card, a 2GB card will cost around 25 and is well worth the investment as it can store 500 songs.

Where the U600 really excels is in its loudspeaker. It is powered by a Bang & Olufsen power amplifier that does really well in playing ringtones and music from such a small mobile phone.

The messaging functions are excellent on the Samsung U600. You can view email attachments in MS Office, PDF and HTML formats. This is especially useful if you are away from your PC and need to look at urgent documents on the fly.
