Your kids birthday is coming. Do you plan to give him/her a birthday party he/she will never forget?

Here are some steps you can do for a wonderful birthday party:

Ask him/her. Yes, the point of the event is to make him/her happy not to make you, parents, happy. So, it is best to ask his/her interest. Dont ever push your interest. Ask him/her what kind of theme he/she would like for the party.

From the chosen theme, find a way to make sure that it fits your budget. Dont overdo it if you dont want to get headaches when the bills come.

Choose the place (the time will be on the birthday, so no need to spend time thinking about it). If your budget is somehow tight, have the party at home. Yet, if you think there is extra money to spend, to avoid stress out of cleaning up your house after the party, why dont you choose a restaurant. One that provides meals for kids.

After knowing where and what time the party will be held, get the invitation cards. Be creative. Use the same theme. And, if your kid can write already, ask him/her to write down the details. He/she would love to take part in every detail of the preparation.

Order the cake. Time to ask your kid again which flavor he/she would love to have for the cake. The theme, of course, would be similar with the whole party theme. So, dont discuss any further about it with you kid if you dont want him/her to change the main themeit happened to my sister, once, so she had to redo the whole thing

Decorations. If you plan to have it at home, you have to be smart in choosing the place. If you use the living room, limit it only there. If you use your backyard, close the other area. That way, you will be maximum at decorating the spaceand lessen your cleaning up area after the party. Buy those that relate to the theme. Ask your kid to go with you to choose the decorations he/she likes.

Games. There is no way you have a party without games. You or your spouse can be the one in charge of the games. If you both dont think you canbecause you have to take care of other stuff on the partyask a friend or relative to help you out. Look for the games related to the theme that give most fun. You can involve your kid as well in choosing which games.

When the D-day comes, just dont worry and be happy!
