The new phone announced by Nokia in February 2008 is another N series phone called Nokia N78. During this time Samsung also released a 3G model, another F series phone called Samsung F400. But Nokia N78 outsmarts Samsung F400 in many ways. Lets analyze the features of both these phones and see how N78 is a better phone than Samsung F400.

Nokia N78 is a 3G smart quad band phone. This smart phone is pocket friendly and has a dimension of 113 x 49 x 15.1 mm and weighs only 102 g only. The 2.4 inches TFT color screen can support 16M colors and has a resolution of 240X320 pixels. The phone is equipped with stereo speakers and some excellent features.

The phone book has practically unlimited entries and there is option of photocall. The internal memory of the phone is 70MB and you can increase the memory of phone with an external microSD card. The phone is a powerful device with ARM and 11 369 MHz processor. The best feature of the phone is that it has both HSCSD and HSDPA. Besides that N78 has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g with UPnP technology. USB port and Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP and WAP 2.0 x/HTML browser are inevitable part of Nokia N series phones.

The Nokia N78 is power packed with multimedia features - it has a 3.15 MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, flash, auto focus, 2048x1536 pixels, video (VGA 15fps), and a secondary CIF videocall camera. The media player is superb and can play files like MP3/M4A/AAC/eAAC+ as well as WMA . The phone has an inbuilt A-GPS to guide you while you stroll the streets in your favorite vacation spots. A document viewer to access Office Files to balance your work while you are traveling.

The Samsung F400 is also a 3G smart phone but the phone lacks in areas like GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity. The F400 has a dual speaker system to give quality sound effect but the gadget fails to carry the overall charm of Nokia N78. F400 is a dual slider phone with great looks but the screen is smaller than Nokia N78. The internal memory of the phone is also less than N78 and the camera is 3 MP with less pixels than the Nokia model.
