Nokia E90 Communicator Mobile Phone Review

Ever since the first version of the Nokia Communicator mobile phone was launched almost 10 years ago, it has been seen as the ultimate business tool for the executive on the go. Combining the best features of a mobile phone with the functionality of a small lap top computer, the original Nokia communicator became an iconic design thanks to the fact that it opened out from being a slightly large (even in 1998) mobile phone into a very small palmtop computer with a full qwerty keyboard and a wide screen monochrome display.

Over several generations, the Nokia communicator has evolved further towards being a more complete device, still offering excellent facilities as a mobile telephone, but now offering many more features as a computer than you might imagine.

It really is the ultimate business tool, with its full colour screens both inside and out, and the possibility of taking advantage of all that is available on the modern 3G networks to offer super fast internet connectivity in order to offer access to the internet as you would see it on a computer, and be able to type emails on a proper keyboard, rather than on a small numeric keypad.

The New e90 Nokia communicator mobile phone comes with everything that you need for business on the go. Integrated into the Symbian operating system there are a full range of business programmes including a word processor, spreadsheet, and even an image editor. Of course, you can also download plenty of other software from the internet, and install it on the Nokia E90, thanks to its large internal memory.

Perhaps the most impressive new tool that the Nokia E90 comes with is the integrated GPS mapping system that utilises both the network information and also the GPS functionality to offer a truly localised service of personalised information.

The Nokia E90 is capable of all the usual modes of communication including text messaging, video and voice calls, image messages, instant messaging online, full email access from both POP3 and web mail standards, and even push to talk, and VOIP calling through a wireless network or the 3G internet connection depending on your network allowances.

The Nokia E90 communicator is not designed for the mass market, and will never be taken up by most users, as it simply offers too much for the average user to need, although over the years since the first model appeared, most of the unique applications that it included have now become standard features, so in a few years, almost every consumer model will probably come with the same equipment as the E90 does today.
