Most of the people think that there is nothing new in the Nokia 6300 black model. But this is not true. Earlier the thumb impression on the screen was meant to slide and open the handset but now this thumb impression has got not only deeper but has got a more practical role now. Now it resembles the Sirocco model and provides sparkling light to make the handset more prominent. The case made of stainless steel is an added advantage giving the set a glossy look.

If you look at the set carefully you can easily notice the change in the shape of the thumb impression under the screen. Now it is just a curve on the surface of the screen and your finger will not slip to touch the screen as it usually happens in case of Nokia 8800. The loudspeaker embedded in the set gives a more aesthetic touch to the handset.

Of course the dimension of the phone has not been changed and the thickness of the set is still 1 mm but the weight has been increased slightly, almost by 4 grams making it a bit different from the previous versions. The Nokia 6300 black buttons also cover less space like that of Nokia 8800 and have designed so as to make it easy to use. The sloped design with standard dimension makes the set technically perfect. Although the navigational keys are carefully designed but are inferior to that of Nokia 8800 as the design is devoid of ergonomics. But when it comes to the memory, the volume of the memory has been increased up to 128 Mb, of course larger than that of Nokia 8800. But there is a lack of memory card in this handset is something the new generation would cry for.

Moreover tiny size of the fonts in the set sometimes creates trouble as they look invisible sometimes particularly when you are not in a comfortable position. The reduction in the size of the font may be due to the high resolution, an inbuilt feature of the Nokia 6300 black. But still the new Nokia 6300 model with black color has been a hit in the market for the whole year 2007.
