Spring has sprung, there is still a chill in the air on sunny mornings, but it is time to dress in pretty pastels and new shoes for an Easter Holiday to remember! If you are planning to have your own Easter Holiday Party, you should begin with innovative invitations! One great idea to set the stage is to hand deliver plastic Easter eggs which contain a folded note card with all the pertinent party information including any additional information needed or a map to the party location and add a few candies to the egg as well for an added Easter holiday treat!

Decorate with plenty of plastic or real Easter eggs, an egg tree, stuffed Easter bunnies, inflated balloons in pastel tones (you can tie off balloon bouquets to the stuffed animals) and, if you need extra sparkle or lighting, consider making Easter egg lights!

Easter Egg Lights:
Cotton twine dyed in pastel tones
Inflated balloon
White glue
Short strands of pastel or clear Christmas lights

Dilute glue half and half with water, dip in and lightly squeeze off twine. Wrap around balloon randomly. Hang to dry. When dry, pop balloon and remove. Carefully insert lights, and plug in. Hang around for decorative glitz or extra lighting.

Make an egg piata much the same way. Using glue saturated pastel colored paper, cover a balloon (be sure to leave an opening big enough to insert plastic eggs with treats and toys) and allow it to dry. When dry, pop the balloon and remove it. Add treats, and hang.

A perfect Easter Holiday Party cake is easy to make. Simply take a white cake mix. Using one or two layers (depending on the size of your guest list) bake these cakes and allow them to cool. One round can be the bunny face; using another round, cut two ears from the edges. This will leave you with a bow tie type shape. Put this together to form Bunny, frost with white frosting, pipe pink onto the inner ears, if you want, and use black to draw mouth, eyes, etc. Sprinkle on coconut for an added touch, and add the tie shape to be decorated however you wish.
