So you have your first web site up and running. It is a good looking web site. All the links work, the ebook you designed is beautiful, and you just know your sales page will convert at 3%, day in, day out. One problemyou have no traffic.

Or just as bad, you bought trafficlots of it. But nobody is buying. Or one in 20,000, which doesnt pay for the leads.

Or you saw a sales page about how much money you can make using PPC, and bought it, and started placing PPC ads. Your conversion rate is about of one percent (or less).

What gives? What needs to change?

Two things are critical here. 1) You must have traffic. 2) That traffic must be quality traffic.

What do I mean by quality traffic? Quality traffic is individuals who are interested in your sort of product.

When you buy 10,000 hits for $25, you are not getting quality traffic. When you find every 10 cent word on Adwords that has any remote connection to your product, you do not have quality traffic.

When potential customers read something online about your product, process, or information, and they click a link at the bottom that says tell me more, you HAVE quality traffic.

How do you make that happen? Just like this article. You see, if you are NOT quality traffic for my web site, you have probably already quit reading by now. You dont need what I have to offer. But if I had bid on the word traffic in a PPC campaign, and this wasnt what you were looking for, I would have lost my money.

So how do you do it? Write articles that presell your product. Write articles that discuss the needs and answers that someone buying your product might be interested in.

Send those articles to as many article directories as you can find. Type article directories into your favorite search engine to find large lists of article directories willing to promote your articles for free. Write lots of quality articles within a few days you will have targeted, quality traffic to your site.
