Are You Trying to Quit Smoking?

Have you ever tried to quit smoking but seemingly failed, well your not alone many have tried but soon failed. They failed trying to quit smoking because it takes so much time, along with plenty of patience to quit. Do not give up if your trying to quit, shortly I will go into ways in which you can help yourself quit smoking.

First of all quitting cold turkey can be very hard and can result in nasty withdraws. The best way to try to quit is gradually cutting down on the amount of times you smoke. For instance say you smoke a pack a day, well why not trying to smoke just ten cigarettes a day. Gradually cutting down each day after this is much easier to do and it will eventually help you to quit.

Some people may have already tried the method I explained above but there are other ways to quit. Another way is when you have a full pack of cigarettes that you just bought, do not open it immediately wait for 15 to 20 minutes to smoke your first cigarette this in turn will be a way to test yourself. Smoking is like a trigger mechanism that triggers your brain to want to smoke. If you try to wait a while before lighting up then this will show you if you have the will power to quit. If for some reason you can not wait that long then chances are you need to work on building up the will power. Once you build up your will power then you will eventually be able to take the first steps in trying to quit.

The above methods are just some of my suggestions to lead you in the right direction in trying to quit smoking. I know there are many more ways to quit such as using the patch, gum, etc. all products that you find at a local drugstore. I can tell you most if not all of these products are there for you to buy and try them. What if they do not work, do you keep on trying one product after another. That is just what makers of these products want you to do. Some may actually work but you may have to spend hundreds of dollars to find the product that works best.

Quitting Smoking is not just a choice you make its a task that you try to undertake. Hopefully succeeding in the end. I can only hope that you try whatever method that you think can help but rest assure do not give up because once you quit you will be glad you did. You will not only feel better, you will also save yourself a lot of money that you spend on buying cigarettes.
