If you have employees, there are certain tax forms that you must file: Form I-9 verifies that each employee is legally eligible to work in the U.S.; Form W-4 is completed by each employee to indicate their withholding tax; Form W-2: is the Wage and Tax Statement you prepare every year for each employee and give copies to employees and file a report with I.R.S; and Form 1099 must be prepared for payments of $600 or more paid to non-employees in one year such as independent contractors. You give copies to the payee and mail a copy to IRS.

There are other tax forms that you may be required to file if you give your employees bonuses or make certain kinds of sales. Form 1099-MISC is required for prizes or awards of $600 or more or for sales of consumer goods for $5,000 or more to a person who intends to sell the goods retail, but does not conduct the sales in a permanent retail establishment. In addition, you are required to file Form 8300 for cash payments you receive in one transaction that are more than $10,000.

The I.R.S. website, www.irs.gov, has many inexpensive small business products that you can order on line. The publications are: Tax Calendar for Small Businesses and Self-Employed, A Virtual Small business Tax Workshop DVD, Small Business Resource Guide CD, Recognizing Illegal Tax Avoidance Schemes Brochure, and Home-Based Business Tax Avoidance Schemes Brochure. There are numerous small business and self-employed resources offered on the I.R.S. website. There are even small business classes and workshops.

As a business entity, you will have to pay income tax and file a Form 1040 or self-employment tax and file Schedule SE (Form 1040). On behalf of your employees, you will have to withhold from salary and pay to IRS and the state federal and state withholding tax. You will be required to withhold from salary and match the amount from the business funds to pay social security and medicare tax. You also must pay federal unemployment tax.

If you sell certain kinds of products or engage in certain business activities, you will be required to pay excise tax. If you sell a product, you will have to pay sales tax usually to the city in which you operate. There are numerous schedules that business entities or self-employed persons are required to file with their 1040. One of the most important is Schedule A which itemizes your business deductions.

You may deduct your business expenses which are the cost of operating a business. If you manufacture products or purchase them for resale, you can deduct the cost of goods sold. The I.R.S website explains how to calculate the deductible cost of goods sold. Other types of business deductions are the expense of using your car in business, salaries and payments to independent contractors, your contribution to employees retirement plans, rent expense, insurance, and interest on any business loans. There are additional allowable deductions that you can discuss with your tax professional.

Capital expenses are not deductible. You must capitalize, rather than deduct, some capital costs. These costs are a part of your investment in your business. There are generally three types of costs you capitalize: going into business, business assets, and improvements. You cannot deduct personal expenses. If you use your Home for your business, you can deduct a prorata share of the expenses you incur on your home. You must file a Form 8829 stating you homes total square feet and the percentage of your home used exclusively for business. The Form 8829 instructions explain how to calculate a deduction for your home office.

If you can improve your self image you will be able to improve your business, relationship or anything else. How you see and feel about yourself is the aspect to your success and happiness in life. You can reach any of your goals with the right tools; however if you do not possess a positive self image; your subconscious will keep you from reaching your goals. You must learn how to keep your self image positive if you want to become successful in life.

Most people do not even think about their self image. If you ever see someone who thinks very highly of themselves; people tend to think that person is conceited or selfish. However that person who does possess a positive self image is most likely to have more success than someone who does not think they themselves are able to conquer anything. The self image is your true opinion of yourself; how you see yourself from the inside out. Most people never work on their self image. However if you ask almost anyone; they would never dare to leave the house without showering, shaving, doing their hair…or taking care of their personal hygiene. They are afraid they would not look good. If you take the time to take care of your outside appearance; why would you not take care of your self image? The self image is the most important thing you can work on; if you disregard; you can not expect to achieve anything if you do not possess a positive self image.

The first thing you can do to help you find out what kind of thoughts you have about yourself is to write all the negative thoughts you have ever thought on paper. For example: “I can not do that, I will never lose weight, I am not good enough, I am not pretty enough,” the list could keep going on and on. After you finish doing that you write another list about things that you have said about yourself that are positive. For example: “I always finish what I start, I am helpful to others, I am a great listener, I care about others”..etc. Make this list longer than the list you made with the negative statements.

Keep this positive list with you at all times. As you continue to read it everyday and visualize yourself doing and being everything you have written down on this list; your brain will begin to accept the information as being true. As you go to bed in the evening spend at least 5-10 minutes playing the movies of the new you in your mind. You may be thinner, have the home you always wanted, be working at home making more money than what you currently are, and have a new fantastic relationship. As you continue to focus on these images your brain does not know the difference between what is real and what is just a vividly played imagination. You will eventually turn the desired images into reality.

As you continue seeing yourself with what you want to be; your self image will improve and you can will notice that these things are not impossible for you to achieve.

Steps to overcome social anxiety:

First, you have to make sure of yourself that you are committed and willing enough to undergo the process of conquering your phobia. This is not simple, due to your fear of being humiliated. But that is just the fear sticking in your mind. Convince yourself that you can undertake this simple task.

Note down stuff that make you feel uncomfortable, like certain situations or people - perhaps strangers do this to you. Try visualizing over and over being in such situations or with those people until you have managed to convince yourself that there is nothing to be afraid of.

The next time you see the people you are uncomfortable with, try and manage to say just even a simple greeting or simply acknowledge how they look. The more you give a positive impression, the more confidence you will build up for yourself.

In situations that you are not comfortable with, try to remember them and record them in your thoughts. In this way, you can sort of playback the things that went wrong or what makes you uncomfortable in that situation - until finally you will catch your reactions so you can correct them.

Relaxing is a big help in conquering social anxiety, even if it might seem a little strange. Relaxing your mind will give you a clearer outlook on scenarios and situations that you are afraid of. Relax your muscles and stop your uncontrollable trembling and unwanted movements. Relaxing your breath so that your heartbeat will be controlled too also helps. Sometimes when you are in a situation you are not comfortable with, you might start by breathing heavily, kind of like panting or labored breathing. Repeating this over and over again will help you achieve your goal of a desired level of socializing.

We all know that this is a very hard process, but believing in your self will make the process lighter and more possible to overcome. Not giving up what you believe in will eventually work. Try not to look on your mistakes with frustration.

If a bad conversation might result from your efforts, at least look on the positive side, that you at least made an effort to converse with people. Counting even the slightest success and learning to examine what turned out wrong will give you a more optimistic outlook.

Once you have gone through these procedures, repeat them again and again and you will notice how easy it is the next time around. And as it becomes easier and easier, it means that you have overcome your social anxiety.

It will really take a lot of work, self confidence, positive thinking, a lot of guts and a lot of practice to undergo these steps. But this is a lot easier than being locked up with your phobia until you get older and older. If you just leave it alone, it becomes harder to beat.

There is always hope to overcome shyness. Believing alone will not take you there, but exercising what you believe in will lead you to success.
